Lt. Gen. Frank E. Petersen Jr., the first ever black Marine Corps pilot, who fought endemic racism to rise to the rank of three-star general, has died aged 83. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross for his performances on 64 combat missions in Korea. He also has a tour of duty in Vietnam commanding a tactical air squadron in more than 250 missions followed in 1968, and he received the Purple Heart for being wounded when he had to eject because his plane was struck by anti-aircraft fire. Give 'em one!

Thank You for your service! R.I.P. Brother

Thanks to Brian Honeycutt for this.

flor57.jpg (9670 bytes)TO ALL MY SOLDIERS

I was reading a few posts, and read about this amazing HERO:

ADM. JEREMIAH DENTON

One of the reasons he is celebrated, is because he alerted our Military to the conditions he had to endure as a POW, by using Morse Code. He blinked the word TORTURE.

In an interview, ADM DENTON stated that he credited his survival and subsequent success to giving himself over to God, after enduring torture!

Denton, who would survive 7 1/2 years confined in a tiny, stinking windowless cell at the infamous "Hanoi Hilton" and other camps before his release in 1973, died of heart problems Friday in Virginia Beach, VA, at age 89, his grandson, Edward Denton said.

I HONOR and CHERISH the memory of our HERO!

"BE" Blessed Because You "ARE."
